Standing at 5'10 Tyra Banks was born December 4, 1973 in Los Angeles, California.
As a child she was very tall and thin, and was constantly teased. But when she got to High school she started to use her height to her advantage, and started to look for Modeling Agencies willing to contract her. At the young age of 17 she was contracted by The Ellte Agency. Since then she has modeled for many big names, that has lead Tyra to her great success today.

Tyra Banks was named one of the "50 Most Beautiful" in "People Magazine". Tyra went on to start her own successful show "America's Next top Model" and her very own talk show "The Tyra Banks Show". Including many more great achievements, that's why Tyra Banks is in the Model Spot Light this week.
